Pearsall and Jennings might be. Brock, it seems they rushed him back from his foot injury and word I'm hearing from my 49ers community is he may need surgery.

Nope. He's reportedly a very long way off from coming back.

Seems like they are coming up with new stats all the time, but they have the Bucs defense #1 here:

We had a conversation about Purdy and his contract in the off-season. If Mac continues to play well I wonder if SF moves on.

Purdy cannot stay healthy.

If McCorkle goes on the road and beats the Rams, the 9ers may have themselves a QB controversy...

Kyran Williams is the most unremarkable, average, not bad RB in the league. I almost never see him get tackled for a loss but its like his ceiling is 4-5 yard runs.

I'm a big fan of Jones, so hopefully it's something that is discussed. But with Brock's contract it's gonna make it hard to get rid of him so soon.

I'm of the belief that Purdy may have come back early from injury to keep his spot. Shanahan isn't known for keeping an injured QB around if they have someone performing well while "starter" is out injured

This might have something to do with HC Shanahan's scheme. Seems to have some difficulty in keeping any of QB healthy. All the more a head scratcher for paying out the nose to Brock Purdy.

Career game for Mac Jones.

Every game that passes, the Purdy contract looks worse and worse.

An NFL scout says that Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young has been “awful” during the team’s 1-3 start:

“He’s looked uncomfortable in the pocket, struggled to see the field, lacked anticipation, and failed to be consistently accurate. I don’t think he’s the guy."

Miami isn't trading for Purdy. Tua has the identical contract.

I like it. Everyone wants to go for the win until it doesn't work. Run it down their throats on 4th and short until it doesn't work.

Its mostly because i thought they might move on from him along with McDaniel or if he gets injured again.

I haven’t looked at the contract details, but he doesn’t seem movable based on the raw numbers. Unless Brady is coming off the couch playing for vet minimum, it would really inhibit their ability to compete in the next couple years.

He's lost some of that quick fiber twitchiness and is growing into his man body. It's not making sense to him.

Please. Save me the moral victory "at least we tried" crap. "Until it doesn't work" is what cost people their jobs. Objective is to win but you also have to be smart. It's OT. You're trailing by 3. Tie the game and give yourself another chance. Resigning yourself to a loss and holding your head high doesn't add anything to the standings. You've just dropped a home divisional game to a team who now has a better record than you. That matters. And if your position is that it doesn't, you dont know this league at all.

1st of all, Happy Birthday, CJ.

Men dont hit their peak physicality until their mid 20s. I don't know what's happened with him, but something is off. And it aint that "he's getting old".

I thought the obvious call was to go for it. You tie it up and they are about 20 yards away and plenty of time left for a game winning kick, and they hadn’t been stopped all night. We trashed the Packers for playing for a tie last week and that would have likely been the best case scenario if they had kicked the FG. Rams are getting kicks blocked like crazy this year too including last night on a PAT, it’s not like it was a guarantee.

You can take issue with the play call or execution, but I would have wanted the Bucs to go for the 4th and 1 every time in that scenario.

A tie in division and in the conference with 2 ties already in the conference is definitely better than a loss.
