Bucs vs 49ers discussion

Post by Phantom »

Well, well, the 49ers are here in town, and they’re also dealing with injuries like us.

We should win that game.

Go Bucs!

The Buccaneers are a 3-point favorite over the 49ers in NFL Week 6 odds for the game, courtesy of BetMGM Sportsbook.

Tampa Bay is -165 on the moneyline, while San Francisco is +140. The over/under (point total) is set at 47.5 points.

I’m not sure. Let’s wait for the injury report on Wednesday or Thursday.

Just what exactly is wrong with Izien's quad? Deep bruise? Is the knee hurt also?

Shanahan > Bowles

We've been exorcising demons so far this year though. Beating SF would be another.

These late game heroics are not a sustainable model. Would love to see a complete game on both sides of the ball and a decisive win.

The 49ers are an anomaly. No INTs on defense. No rushing TDs on offense. Injuries and missed games by their starting QB, top 3 WRs, TE and yet they are 4-1 and the #1 passing offense in football. All of their games, like ours, have been close hard fought battles down to the wire.

I honestly don't know what to expect.

Despite the injury, I believe the Seahawks are a better team than the 49ers. Since we beat the Seahawks, beating the 49ers should not be a problem.

Did anyone actually watch SF play the Rams last week? I only saw one highlight reel. But LAR runs pretty much the same exact offense we do. Looking at the boxscore, I'm surprised that SF was able to score 17 pts on the LAR-D in the first half. But apparently they fixed their shit, because after the half, SF only managed 9 pts, including a FG in OT.

We almost had one vs the Jets and the 4 minutes of shitting sets of bed sheets.

This isn't how it works. And the 49ers beat Seattle week 1.

100%

The Buccaneers have shown a great deal of 'not going to give up", but as the Jets showed on any given Sunday.

Rams secondary is... really bad. And that's with having a very good d-line and pass rush.

I hope to see their safeties exploited. We need to dog McCaffrey into frustration and get after that Alabama QB. We may see some Josh Williams this week.

And it wasn't pretty. Parrish struggled big time playing outside. Though I'd say the main problem was the Seahawks pass protection was iron clad. Our pass rush was non existent.

I think sports news has joined fake news reporting. Last week someone said Anthony Bradford was playing really bad and Zabel was very inconsistent, I took that as we were going to feed and then the exact opposite happened.

I remember coming in and everybody was squawking about our d-line and Simmons, I was like huh?

Until someone is consistently beating one on one's on our IDL we won't have proper OLB performance. NFL offenses spend a lot of time stopping this before it becomes a problem.

I'd fall out of my chair if I witnessed Buc DB's frequently jumping routes. That requires 2.5 second pressure and the DB's seeing it a lot.
