We all love Mike and this next portion of my post is not to crap on him at all, but...he's been invisible this year even when he was on the field. The loss of him for (maybe) the season is more of a morale loss as opposed to an on-filed loss.

Let's act like last night he didn't play...because reasons.

This season, he has 14 catches for 140 yards and 1 TD. That's a nice game for a star wide receiver, not a good quarter of the season...
We've been doing it without him this season so I don't see this as a huge loss on the field.

Forget Rice's record. There is a non-zero chance that this was Mike Evans last appearance on the field. He's talked openly about the possibility of retiring after this year. With that record off the table and the difficulty of staying healthy as a player ages, it won't surprise me.

It would make sense. He's 32 years old, has made millions, has a Super Bowl ring, has tied the record of one of the most prolific WRs to ever play the game, and is a sure fire HOFer on the first ballot.

Go enjoy the fruits of your labor Mike as you move on into the next phase of your life. You will always have a place in the hearts of Bucs fans.

Mike is my favorite Buc of all time (even including Brooks) so this one hurt. I’ll be fine at some point, but at this moment it’s hard to think of watching the games going forward.
